Terry (the manager) absolutely knows his stuff inside out. He made what could have been a futile expedition to get a formal suit last minute into a relaxed, personal experience. Fulfilled the brief, did a great deal and made our day.

I had such a great experience at Reuben, and a huge part of that was thanks to Inge. She was incredibly patient, knowledgeable and genuinely lovely to deal with. She has fantastic taste and made what initially felt like a very overwhelming decision incredibly easy.

I didn’t know much about suits and had no idea what would suit me, but Inge’s advice was spot on. She took the time to understand what I was looking for and made sure I looked my best. I ended up looking even better than I expected!

The whole experience was relaxed, enjoyable and completely stress-free. The suits themselves are also fantastic. I looked at similar suits elsewhere that didn’t look nearly as good and were two or three times the price.

On top of that, I got a fantastic discount for buying the whole outfit, which made the value even better. Honestly, I don’t think I could have found a better combination of quality, style, service and price anywhere else.

I feel very lucky to have found Reuben and, especially, to have been looked after by Inge. I couldn’t recommend her highly enough. I’ll definitely be coming back

We had an excellent experience with this beautiful lady Inge when we popped in looking for a formal suit for my son. From the beginning, she was incredibly patient, helpful and welcoming. She took the time to understand what my son was looking for and carefully arranged and suggested different suit and trouser combinations for him to try.
What impressed us most was her patience throughout the entire fitting process. She made us feel comfortable and gave thoughtful suggestions based on what suited him best. She had recommended a Detachable Shawl Lapel Jacket, which was a great choice as it can be worn for different functions and occasions, making it much more versatile.
Inge also went the extra mile to coordinate everything he needed, including the trousers, shirt, tie and pocket square, while keeping the overall price at a reasonable level. She made the entire shopping experience easy and enjoyable, without ever making us feel pressured or as though she was trying to hard-sell anything.

Received exceptional service from Ryan, at the Chermside store when finding a suit for a semi formal both when choosing and purchasing and when returning to pick up. Very helpful in selecting the suit, offering sugguestions and choices after listening to our thoughts. We had two little boys with us (that werent getting suits) and he took the time to speak with and show them cufflinks. Its was such a lovely exchange to witness and made the boys feel special and included. We were very impressed and it added to the overall semi formal experience.

We first visited Reuben F. Scarf at Macarthur Square 18 months ago for a suit fitting, and the service has stayed with us. Over two separate visits, we had two different gentlemen assist us, and both were outstanding. The first gentleman had been there for many years and is an absolute master of his craft—he literally knew my son’s exact size just by looking at him. On our next visit, we were assisted by the current manager. There seem to be some mixed reviews online, but he gave us great, attentive service and made sure everything was handled perfectly. We are heading back to see them again soon for this year's Year 12 formal. If you want proper styling advice and true fitting expertise, this is the place to go.

My experience here was unreal. Marcus made everything so easy from start to finish and was an excellent communicator throughout the entire process.

What stood out most was that it never felt like I was walking into a store where someone was just trying to sell me a suit. Marcus genuinely focused on building a relationship and making sure I had a great experience. It felt like an experience rather than a transaction, which is something that’s becoming increasingly rare.

He’s a great guy, easy to talk to, and made the whole process enjoyable. Instead of feeling pressured to buy more, it felt like I was there with a friend trying on suits and getting honest advice. Ironically, that made me want to buy even more because I genuinely trusted his recommendations.

The experience was so good that I’ve already recommended this place to friends, and I’ll definitely be coming back myself in the future.

The manager Terry was horrible. I came in with my friend looking for suits for formal, and we tried one on. We came back in and couldn't try them on because they didn't have any changing rooms, so we had to leave, we came back the next week and terry wasn't there and honestly we had a much better experience with the sales assistants, and they said it was fine that we come back to pay later on. We came back in one more time to buy the suits, and just wanted to try them on one last time to make sure they were worth $400, and Terry didn't help us at all i had to ask him to help me, and then he said that we cant keep coming in and trying stuff on because they "aren't a public library" mind you we had only tried on 3 suits in total. He was really kind and helpful to our male friend who had been shopping with us 3/4 times we went, but really rude and unhelpful to me and my friend who are girls. Also Terry was super rude to his employee and it felt very hostile and uncomfortable to watch him being so rude and mean to the only employee who had helped us out. We talked to 2 employees who were wonderful and very welcoming and helpful, but terry made this experience really off-putting. Will not recommend to anyone who wants to feel comfortable and have a nice experience. However the other employees were really amazing and super kind and helpful, i hope they get a better boss soon!!

I walked in a couple of weeks ago needing a suit for my wedding and, to be honest, I never really thought I was “a suit person.” I’ve never been that comfortable in suits, didn’t want anything flashy, and definitely didn’t want to be shoved into a tie or somethibg that wasn’t really me.
This young fella Blake helped me out in a way I honestly didn’t expect. He wasn’t pushing trends, instead he talked me through how a suit is actually meant to fit and move the cut, the shoulders, the balance and all that. He explained why certain things work and why others don’t, and for the first time it felt like I wasn’t being sold to, just properly looked after.
Rather than fancy sales tactics or fashion trends, he focused on why suits work in the first place. How they’re meant to sit on the body, how the fabric should fall, and how a few small alterations can completely change how you feel wearing one.
The moment I put it on I felt comfortable, confident, and like myself, not dressed up as someone I wasn’t. I didn’t even think I wanted a tie, but once everything was put together properly it just worked.
Blake’s knowledge of tailoring is seriously impressive. He treats clothing as a craft, not fast fashion, and it shows. On my wedding day I had a so many people comment on how great the suit looked and more importantly, I felt bloody good wearing it.
If you’ve ever thought you “can’t pull off a suit,” ask for Blake. He’s a great young larrikin and knows his stuff.
