How to Find Your Perfect Trouser Fit
To ensure the best fit, we highly recommend measuring a pair of trousers that you already own and that fit you comfortably. This method is more accurate than measuring your own body as it accounts for the garment's specific cut and rise.
What You'll Need:
A well-fitting pair of trousers.
A flat measuring tape.
A flat surface.
Step-by-Step Measurement Guide
Lay your trousers flat on a surface, zip them up, and smooth out any wrinkles before you begin.
A - Waist
How to Measure: Measure in a straight line across the top of the waistband from one side to the other.
Important: Our chart shows the full waist circumference. You must double the number you measured to get the correct value to compare with the chart (e.g., if you measure 44.45cm, your waist value is 88.9cm).
B - Inside Leg (Inseam)
How to Measure: Locate the seam at the crotch where the legs join.
Action: Measure from the crotch seam straight down the inside seam of the leg to the bottom of the hem.
C - Hip
How to Measure: The hip measurement should be taken at the widest point of the trousers. This is typically about 18-20cm below the top of the waistband.
Action: Measure in a straight line across the trousers from one side to the other at this widest point.
Important: Just like the waist, you must double this measurement to get the full hip circumference to compare with the chart.
How to Use the Chart
Record Your Measurements: Note your final measurements for Waist (A), Inside Leg (B), and Hip (C).
Compare and Prioritize: Find the size on the chart that is the closest match. The Waist (A) and Hip (C) are the most critical measurements for a comfortable fit. The leg length can often be easily altered by a tailor.
If You're Between Sizes: We generally recommend choosing the larger size, especially if your hip measurement falls into a larger size than your waist. It is easier to have the waist taken in than to adjust the hips.
